Description:         Gatsu, the black warrior, is in search of the God Hand, the demons who
                           slaughtered his mercenary companions and ruined his loved ones. Orb, and
                           with a mysterious brand and an iron cannon arm to replace his lost one,
                           he ventures now in the eerie Valley of the Mist...

Notes:                 This map is adapted from a most beautiful  manga/anime by Kentaro Miura - BERSERK. It refers directly to Volumes 14-15-16, a story arc that doesn't appear in the anime. 

I adopted the same RPG structure used by Jurgen Linde in his excellent  map "Dead Forest", but I enphatized the storyline (well, the map is quite linear), trying to make it loyal to the manga version (and because of this it contains some SPOILERS for any Berserk fan [I have even inserted the tale of Pirkaf! :-) ]). 

I represented Gatsu's cannon arm with the spell "fireball" and gunpowder with spell points. 

I choosed familiars and serpent flies to play the role of the manga's "elf-monsters" because they were the most close to them. For the same reason, Jill is represented as a wood elf, Roshinu in her first form as a silver pegasus (there was no creature like a big winged elf in the game!) and so on. 

If I get Armageddon's Blade, I will adapt the map to it. 

It is recommended to play the map at "Impossible" difficult level. 

I will translate the map in Italian for local fans only if requested so by a number of people.

Raffaele Traini

GATSU

He is the main character in Berserk (and in this map, of course!). His friends were sacrificed to the God Hand, and now he wanders the world in an effort to avenge them.
His arsenal include a giant sword, an iron cannon arm, some throwing knives and an hand crossbow.

PUCK

He is a true elf, that met Gatsu during his journey. Puck is an hilarious fellow that firmly believes that Gatsu would be lost without him. He can cure wounds and read thoughts, in addiction to fly.

JILL

She is a young girl that was kidnapped by some bandits; Gatsu saved her, and she wanted to follow him at all costs, for two reason in particular: to escape from her brutal father and to look for her friend Roshinu, misteriously disappeared in the Mist Valley.

ROSHINU

She once was Jill's best friend. She forfaited the life of her parents to join the God Hand as a disciple and to have an "elven kingdom". She is still very attached to Jill.

ZEBECK

He is the father of Jill. He's often drunken and violent towards his family, as he loves to recall memories of old battles, fought a long time ago.
